History
Housed inside the First Lutheran Church since 1997, Child's First is a not-for-profit child care center catering to children ages six weeks to six years with school-age care during the summer and school breaks.
Philosophy
Child’s First provides services for children without regard to race, creed, religion, or national origin. Children with special needs are always welcome. If a child’s special needs require a higher level of care, a plan will be put in place to determine if Child’s First is the right fit for the child. Child’s First will work within our resources to provide care to children with special needs as long as classroom state ratios can be maintained.
Child’s First programs are designed to provide opportunities for your child to develop intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally to reach their fullest potential. Classroom activities are both planned and spontaneous. Basic concepts are introduced and reviewed with the children in order to strengthen their individual skills.
